The Foundation’s Community Choice voucher program gives people in our community access to essentials including food, prescription medication and material aid.
Over the past year, the Foundation again saw a significant increase in demand from community partner agencies requesting additional vouchers to assist those most in need. In response, we have invested $192,672 into the Community Choice program, providing vouchers to over 26 local community agencies to support individuals and families in crisis.
We’ve had the privilege recently to take some of our corporate partners to visit the agencies distributing our Community Choice vouchers.
Last financial year, our Community Choice voucher program supported over 13,446 people in our region with vouchers exchanged at 30 local businesses for either food, pharmacy or material aid.
We’re so proud of this initiative that involves so many in our community, and it was a joy to share it with our corporate partners to see the impact of their support first hand.
