We’re delighted to welcome Zac Lewis, who has officially commenced as the Foundation’s new CEO.
With over 15 years of experience in the not-for-profit and government sectors, Zac is deeply committed to driving positive social change. He is excited to be working with the Foundation’s team to build on its 70-year legacy and further continue its work to create a fairer, more equitable G21 region.
“The Foundation has such an incredible history—over 70 years of working towards a fairer Geelong. It’s an honour to be part of that legacy and step into this role and continue the Foundation’s important work in supporting the people of Geelong. I look forward to working closely with our dedicated team, partners, and the wider community to create lasting change,” said Zac Lewis.
“What I love most about working in the community is the opportunity to see social challenges firsthand, bring passionate people together around a common purpose, and drive meaningful impact.”
A proud local of the region, Zac joins the Foundation from his previous role as CEO of Western Chances, where he led efforts to empower young people in Melbourne’s West and Geelong to overcome barriers and achieve their potential through educational scholarships, paid internships and connection to life-changing opportunities.
Prior to his role at Western Chances, Zac served as Food Program and Partnerships Manager at Foodbank Victoria, where he oversaw the organisation’s community food programs, leading teams focused on community development, food supply, and school program delivery.
“I look forward to meeting and connecting with the Foundation’s donors, partners and supporters to strengthen relationships and work towards the Give Where You Live Foundation’s vision to create positive change in our region.”
