The Foundation is pleased to announce it will provide over $445,000 in funding through the 2022 Education & Employment Annual Grant Program across the G21 region.
15 local organisations received grants of up to $40,000, to assist them in delivering their projects, helping remove barriers and ensuring strong education and sustainable employment are more accessible and more achievable.
“We estimate that these grants will help almost 2000 young people who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging with their learning. The grants will also assist over 1000 parents in our community to support their child’s learning.” Bill Mithen, CEO of the Give Where You Live Foundation, on the impact of these grants.
Give Where You Live Foundation’s Education and Employment grants address the inequality in our current education and employment systems and create a far-reaching impact by helping people achieve their education and employment goals and set themselves up for a thriving life.
The grant applications were reviewed by a group of 103 volunteers from the local community whose recommendations formed part of the decision-making progress.
